We are here for our customers to achieve their goals and continue to grow their engagement on our platform. Onboarding, training and training materials, client and sales support, and renewals are handled by the Customer Success team.

About the Role:
Cyndx's Client Relationship Managers work as a direct needs consultant to and advocate for clients to drive value that leads to account expansion, renewals and customer satisfaction. You will be dedicated to providing white glove support for client accounts by establishing lasting relationships with key decision-makers.


As part of the Support Team, you will work closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams and Cyndx platform users to understand customer needs, train on product features and how to optimize using the platform, and ensure the best possible customer experience. The Client Relationship Manager will possess a deep knowledge of the accounts they support, their clients' industry / sector as well as their business needs, partnering with the Sales and Customer Success teams to grow these accounts over time. You are typically the first point of contact and one of the key players in building lasting client relationships. Your interactions with clients help us better understand customers' needs and pain points and are a crucial piece of the sales-to-renewal process.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and business partner for a dedicated portfolio of clients via email, meetings, phone and/or chat
  • Identify growth opportunities to expand existing user base within the portfolio of accounts to achieve and consistently exceed sales and retention goals
  • Provide consultative, white glove service and training to nurture accounts
  • Conduct client demonstration sessions designed to address the individual needs of the account and end-user and educate on product knowledge and best practices
  • Work collaboratively with a designated Customer Success Manager and Sales team to strategize on account retention and growth opportunities
  • Go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction with quarterly product updates and continual education
  • Have an appreciation for private equity, investment banking, venture capital and entrepreneurship, and has the ability to learn, comprehend and demonstrate why and how each of our client types engages with our product and our data
  • Maintain CRM daily and be a leader in the Support team for providing the most up-to-date information on accounts through CRM
  • Continuously strive to provide education and training of existing customers by various means - follow deal activity, research recent deals, offering focus training sessions, provide user marketing materials and product updates on a regular basis
  • Monitor customer health and partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to come up with a plan to promote usage
  • Work closely with other functions including Sales, Customer Success and Product to ensure customer needs are met while meeting internal objectives
  • Act as an advocate, embrace a consultant approach, and display a positive attitude to connect with customers - understand your clients' needs and business priorities in order to present relevant use cases
  • Participate in the onboarding of new customers, ensuring they understand how to use the platform
  • Document the details of each client interaction in the CRM in order to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure, as well as to provide feedback to the Product team. Your role is crucial in helping Product make informed decisions by being a direct advocate for customers' needs.
  • Drive engagement with clients through personally crafted sequences, video tutorials, and/or marketing materials
  • Develop expertise about the Cyndx Platform, our clients and their business needs
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as needed


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of sales or account management experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Consulting or related Financial Services, or equivalent
  • A client-first attitude and love to engage prospective new users for account expansion
  • Prior experience with the following tools or equivalent: Hubspot, Google, Microsoft Office including Excel, Slack, Jira
  • Deep interest in financial markets and services, especially investment banking
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Have terrific organization and prioritization skills to manage a variety of support tasks to help us grow as a sales organization with a customer-first attitude
  • Comfortable engaging with a diverse array of clients
  • Tenacious and goal-oriented; can work effectively as part of a group
